Liverpool Win 4-0 at Preston
Coutinho, Ibe, Sterling and Aspas secure the win in the first match of Liverpool’s 13-14 pre-season schedule against Preston North End in a match celebrating the centenary year of the legendary Bill Shankly, whose face adorns one of the stands at Deepdale where he played before creating his legacy at Anfield.

Liverpool old boy Jon Welsh gave away a first half penalty by fouling Phillipe Coutinho who stepped up and calmly slotted the penalty to the keepers left-bottom corner.
The teenage winger cut in swiftly from the left wing and fired a low shot to the keeper’s right from the edge of the box.
A nice passing move with new boy Aspas parted the PNE defence and led to Sterling being through on goal with the keeper who made himself big before being side-stepped allowing the youngster to slot it home.
Iago Aspas opened his account with a fine curling effort swept in from 25 yards out past Preston keeper Stuckmann.
